Quality management

The objective of Sealand Quality Management System is to manage quality from the sensory (taste, smell, appearance and consistency), food safety and regulatory points of view. Our quality team makes sure that our products live up to the highest quality standards. As a company delivering high-quality seafood products, we apply the highest food safety standards to all aspects of our business, from catch, processing, packaging and distribution, to product development.

Our team work closely together with authorities and customers to ensure that our production facilities live up to government food safety standards at any given time.


Freshly caught fish is headed and guttered on board the vessel via semi automated procedure. The process is closely monitored for quality ensured by a team of professionals.


Fishing and freezing methods and timings are strictly monitored at all our vessels to ensure impeccable quality of the product. All out fish is frozen onboard the vessels no later than 6 hours after being caught.


Sealand has advanced processing and packaging facilities in China that can further enhance the products and package them in consumer-ready packaging, in close proximity to key markets. All facilities have a high hygiene level and follow a systematic approach to food safety (HACCP), and most facilities are certified according to either BRC or IFS.
